United Nations Office For Partnerships & Conscious Fashion Campaign
Drapers has formed a ground-breaking new partnership with the Conscious Fashion Campaign, which was set up in December in collaboration with United Nations Office for Partnership, to promote the Sustainable Development Goals within the fashion industry.
In 2015, United Nations Member States adopted the 2030 Agenda that laid out the Sustainable Development Goals as a blueprint to achieve more sustainable, just and prosperous future for all. These goals identify specific targets related to poverty, inequality, climate, responsible consumption and production, the environment, prosperity, peace and justice, to be achieved by 2030. Business has an important role to play to meet these ambitious targets.
The Conscious Fashion Campaign launched in December 2019 to embed the Sustainable Development Goals within the fashion industry and educate businesses on how they can use the goals as a roadmap to become more sustainable. The initiative champions fashion as an influential sector to address the world’s most pressing issues and lead a future that leaves no one behind. The campaign is dedicated to driving change through advocacy, education and engagement of industry stakeholders to create a sustainable future for all.
Drapers Sustainable Fashion is the first conference of its kind to collaborate with the Conscious Fashion Campaign. This ground-breaking partnership is at the forefront of driving change in the UK fashion industry whilst implementing responsible marketing, operations and logistics that are mindful of social, economic and environmental impact.
