Circular Business Award
This award recognises the fashion retailer or brand that has made the most progress towards a more circular business model in the past 12 months – for example, through resale, take-back schemes and/or recycling. Brands that use recycled or repurposed materials in their collections are also invited to enter. Judges will be looking for evidence that the company has eschewed a linear production model – which starts with new material, and ends with clothing being discarded in landfill – in favour of a more circular approach aimed at minimising waste and making the most of existing resources.
Questions to consider when entering:
- How and why does the business promote a circular approach to fashion?
- If applicable, how is the company taking responsibility for sold product that is at the end of its use? What proportion of clothing sales does this represent and has this increased?
- If applicable, what percentage of product is made from recycled or repurposed materials? Has this increased?
