After studying economics, at 25, Sébastien Kopp and Ghislain Morillion visited a factory in China, and both discovered the globalization reality. Simultaneously, they worked for Tristan Lecomte and discovered fair trade and sustainable economy principles. Back in France, they decided to reinvent a meaningful product of their generation: the sneaker. They found VEJA in 2004 with the main objective: to create sneakers in a different way, mixing social projects, economic justice, and ecological materials. VEJA means “look” in Portuguese, look beyond the sneakers, look at how they are made.
